Just a quick note about some small changes I’ve made to the site.
Candidate / MP data has been updated with the following changes…
- Labour List MP Rino Tirikatene has been removed from the site as both a List MP and Labour’s candidate for Te Tai Tonga following his announced resignation. Labour needs a 10.66% swing to win back Te Tai Tonga, so it will be a big mountain to climb but certainly not impossible.
- I’ve also removed James Shaw as both a Green List MP and number 2 candidate on their list. I’m unsure if he intends to continue as a List MP this term, but I’d say there is no change he’ll be recontesting the next election so the MMP calculator is still a good representation of what the results of an election would be.
I’ve also made a minor change to my MMP Calculator, changing the House of Representatives visualisation to put NZ First with their government partners National and ACT.
And to top it all off, there is a new Roy Morgan poll for December 2023 which I’ve added to the database.
